PRODUCTION PART APPROVAL PROCESS (PPAP)

In our approach to Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) implementation with our automotive clients, as well as non-automotive clients opting for PPAP adoption, we meticulously navigate through various PPAP elements. This process encompasses, but is not restricted to, the following:
-
Drawings and Design Records: Collaborating closely with the client to ensure that all ballooned copies of submitted drawings align precisely with dimensional, material, and performance specifications. These ballooned drawings serve as submissions by the client to their customers and by suppliers to the client.
-
Change Requests: Working alongside the client to verify that all engineering change requests have been duly submitted and approved by the respective customer, whether originating from the client to their customers or from suppliers to the client.
-
Dimensional, Material, and Performance Criteria: Ensuring meticulous completion of drawing dimensions, tolerances, material specifications, and performance criteria, ensuring compliance with stipulated requirements.
-
Process Maps & Flow Diagrams: Assisting the client in comprehensive evaluation and analysis of their entire process, encompassing service, manufacturing, or assembly, from inception to conclusion. This evaluation serves as a pivotal input for the creation of FMEA and control plan documents.
-
Design/Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA): Working in tandem with the client to meticulously complete all DFMEA or PFMEA documents, ensuring comprehensive coverage of customer-specific requirements, critical-to-satisfaction parameters, as well as statutory and regulatory mandates. This involves recording and elaborating on all special or major characteristics, assessing severity, occurrences, prevention, and addressing high-risk priority numbers through actionable plans.
-
Quality/Control Plans: Collaborating with the client to ensure that their control plans encompass all special characteristics, pertaining to both product and process, and adhere to the logical sequence outlined in the process flow diagram.
-
Measurement Systems Analysis (MSA): Ensuring completion of all MSA and gauge R&R studies for all measuring devices, ensuring adherence to statistical acceptance thresholds.
-
Process Capability Studies: Ensuring thorough coverage of all critical features of the product, service, or process through statistical capability studies, with capability indices falling within industry-accepted thresholds.
-
Records of Compliance: Working closely with the client to define any regulatory, statutory, or customer-specific requirements and facilitating compliance with these mandates.
In addition to offering PPAP consultation services, we deliver customized training programs covering a spectrum of awareness, refresher, and comprehensive courses pertaining to all essential automotive tools. Our methodology emphasizes a meticulous and thorough commitment to PPAP guidelines, with a primary focus on upholding the utmost standards of quality and compliance.
